One thing I do not understand is this whole new plastic surgery fad that is taking over Hollywood and therefore becoming intertwined into our society. To me there is absolutely nothing beautiful about having a fake nose or a face lift. Way to many people are relying on plastic surgery to feel good about themselves and I think the media is to blame for this. The newest fad in plastic surgery is wanting to look like your favorite celebrity.
Why can we not just be happy with what we have. There is nothing wrong with wanting to look good and better yourself but this should be able to be done with out thousands of dollars wasted in plastic surgery.
Now, there is a huge difference between people who WANT plastic surgery and people who NEED plastic surgery in order to correct a serious deformity like a cleft pallet or were born with a severe birth defect or have been in a bad accident that requires corrective plastic surgeryhttp://www.r4md.com/cosmetic_surgery/reconstructive.html...this example change my perspective on plastic surgery into appreciative and grateful for the technology we have.
Some people are taking plastic surgery to new heights. http://www.aboardcertifiedplasticsurgeonresource.com/cosmetic/dangers.htmlAfter just one simple surgery it turns into five more surgeries... people are becoming addicted to perfection...but what is perfection? It certainly is not a fake face. I truly think it is sad that people can't just age gracefully and be happy with themselves for what they have. There are many ways to take care of yourself besides going under the knife but people are becoming to relient on surgery to take the time to figure this out.
